Apple cider vinegar (ACV) is a fermented juice made from crushed apples, sugar, and yeast. It has an acidity of 5–6%.
ACV contains vitamins B1, B2, and B6, as well as biotin, folic acid, niacin, pantothenic acid, and vitamin C. It also contains small amounts of minerals like sodium, phosphorous, potassium, calcium, iron, and magnesium.
ACV is used in cooking and as an ingredient in salad dressings, marinades, and pickles. It's also been used as a home remedy for many years, including fighting germs and preventing heartburn.
